Best Turkey Burgers

What makes a perfect burger? Lean meat, right selection of spices and ingredients cooked to perfection. ┬áDuring a barbecue season, this gluten-free, incredibly tasty turkey burger recipe is a must try. And don’t forget the toppings the more, the better! Serve over lettuce leaves or on a gluten-free bun.



2 lbs. lean ground turkey
1/2 cup finely chopped mushrooms
1 Tbsp. minced garlic
1 tsp. dry oregano
1 tsp. paprika
1 tsp. Himalayan pink salt
1 Tbsp. raw apple cider vinegar
1 Tbsp. coconut or grape seed oil
4 slices of hard cheese (optional)
Lettuce leaves or gluten-free burger buns
Selection of toppings; onions, cabbage, lettuce, tomatoes, avocado, gf mustard, gf mayo, gf ketchup


Combine all the burger ingredients and make 4 patties. Brush with oil, this will prevent them from sticking on a barbecue
Place patties on a preheated barbecue and cook 5 - 7 minutes on each side (depending on the thickness of the patties. Add cheese and cook until melted
Oven method: Preheat oven to 400 F. Place patties on a non-stick baking sheet, and bake 10 - 15, and then top with cheese and cook until cheese is melted
To serve, place burgers on lettuce leaves or grilled burger buns with as many toppings as you desire
