Best Ever Gluten-Free New York Style Pizza made with a yeast-free crust. The wide slices of thin, crispy crust foldable pizza, just like the authentic New York-Style Pizza, are insanely delicious. The gluten-free pizza is topped with freshly made pizza sauce flavoured with basil, oregano, thyme and garlic, and plenty of grated mozzarella cheese.

Feel free to add your favorite toppings for a personalized touch—this is sure to become your go-to gluten-free pizza!

What is a New York-Style Pizza?

The famous New York-Style Pizza is renowned for its thin, crispy crust that’s foldable and cut into large slices. The classic toppings include rich tomato sauce, grated mozzarella cheese, and your favorite extras.

The more toppings, the better—they sink beautifully into the melted cheese. Unlike traditional Italian pizza, where cheese is added last, New York-Style places it right on top. If you haven’t tried a slice yet, you’re truly missing out—it’s simply fantastic, and it is GLUTEN-FREE!

Quick and Easy Gluten-Free NY Style Pizza Crust

Classic NY-style pizza crust can be made in minutes with a yeast-free dough. In this gluten-free recipe, we use baking soda for leavening, allowing you to prepare the entire pizza in just fifteen minutes—plus another fifteen to bake!

That means you can enjoy a crispy gluten-free pizza in just thirty minutes. Who needs takeout?

New York-Style Gluten-Free Pizza Recipe Overview

I love this yeast-free pizza dough recipe because it’s incredibly simple and quick to make. To create the gluten-free dough, start by whisking together the dry ingredients. Then, add the wet ingredients and mix with a spatula until a ball of dough forms—this takes about a minute!

The dough will be soft and slightly sticky, so you’ll need to roll it out. The best way to do this is between two sheets of plastic wrap, with a light sprinkling of flour.

Once rolled out, the top sheet peels off easily, allowing you to transfer the dough onto your pizza pan using the bottom sheet. For that classic NY-style look, press the edge of the dough towards the center to create a slightly raised perimeter.

Flavorful NY-Style Pizza Sauce

The flavor of the pizza sauce is crucial for achieving an authentic NY-style pizza. This sauce is made with fresh herbs, garlic, a splash of olive oil, and a pinch of red pepper flakes for a bit of heat. Simply simmer the sauce for four minutes, and it’s ready to use. Trust me, store-bought pizza sauce can’t compare to this homemade, flavorful NY-style gluten-free pizza sauce!

Unique Toppings for New York-Style Pizza

One of the most interesting aspects of New York-Style pizza is its unique layering of toppings. Unlike most pizza recipes, where cheese is typically the final layer, NY-style pizza begins with a layer of pizza sauce followed by grated mozzarella cheese, and then your choice of toppings.

Often, a classic NY-style pizza features just the delicious sauce and cheese. For my version today, I included five toppings: pizza sauce, mozzarella, onions, mushrooms, and gluten-free pepperoni. The result was outstanding!

What to do with leftover pizza?

Having any leftover pizza is highly unlikely. If you have a slice or two, preheat the oven to 400 F and reheat the pizza for six minutes. The pizza will be just as delicious. If you love Italian food, check out these gluten-free Italian recipes for inspirations!

Kristina

I have not made it in advance, so I don’t know. But, I think if you keep it in the fridge and then bring it to room temperature it should work
