These Gluten Free Cheesy Scones are sure to be a big hit at breakfast or a snack any time of the day.  Super cheesy with a hint of rosemary and green onions throughout. If you have ten minutes, you can make fresh warm right out of the oven gluten free cheesy scones.

You will need only one bowl for this gluten-free cheesy scones recipe, making this scone recipe super easy to whip up. First, mix the cheese with green onions, then add the dry ingredients and combine. Lastly, add milk and briefly blend. Gluten free baking doesn’t get any easier than this.

Using a large spoon or a cookie scoop, drop the dough onto a baking sheet and bake. Enjoy these incredibly cheesy scones warm right out of the oven. If you have any leftovers for the next day, pop them in the microwave for twenty seconds, they will taste just as if they were freshly baked.

  • 2 ½ cups grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup diced green onion (spring onion)
  • 1 ½ cups all-purpose gluten free flour blend
  • ½ cup sweet sorghum flour
  • 2 tsp. GF baking powder, preferably aluminum free
  • 1 tsp. GF dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp. pure sea salt
  • 1 ¼ cup milk

  • Preheat oven to 420 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large bowl combine cheddar cheese and onions
  • Add flour, baking powder, rosemary and sea salt and mix well
  • Add milk and mix until everything comes together. Do not over mix
  • Using a tablespoon, drop batter on a prepared baking sheet. You should have 12 scones
  • Bake for 25 – 30 minutes or until scones are golden
