Gluten-Free Apple Cinnamon Frittata

Frittata is a simple dish prepared in just minutes. In this recipe, I used apples and cinnamon making this frittata taste like an apple pie, without the added fats and grains. Serve for breakfast, brunch, snack or as a dessert with some ice cream. This is another wonderful gluten-free recipe that is low in carbs and acceptable on paleo diet

Ingredients

  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 Tbsp. Whole milk, non-dairy milk will also work
  • 2 Tbsp. Pure maple syrup
  • 3/4 tsp. GF ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of sea salt
  • 2 large apples, peeled and cored, and thinly sliced
  • Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 330 F and generously grease a 9-inch round oven-safe dish with butter
  • In a large bowl whisk together eggs, milk, maple syrup, cinnamon, and salt
  • Arrange apples in the dish, then pour the egg mixture over top
  • Bake for 30 - 35 minutes until the top is golden brown. The frittata will deflate a little when cooling, this is totally normal
  • Cool in the dish before cutting into wedges. Drizzle with maple syrup or sprinkle with powdered sugar
