Gluten-Free Cinnamon Raisin Bagels, a delicious twist on a classic. Fresh homemade gluten-free bagels are perfect for breakfast, brunch, or anytime you need a little pick-me-up.
Key Ingredients
This recipe combines simple ingredients to create a dough that’s easy to work with and makes delicious bagels:
Gluten-Free Measure for Measure Flour Blend: This serves as the base for this dough, providing structure without gluten.
Sulfite-Free Raisins: For a burst of natural sweetness and chewy texture.
Coconut Sugar: Adds a hint of caramel flavor to complement the raisins.
Cinnamon: A warm spice that pairs perfectly with the sweetness of the raisins.
Gluten-Free Aluminum-Free Baking Powder: Ensures these bagels rise beautifully without any metallic aftertaste.
Sea Salt: To balance the flavors and enhance the dough.
Plain Full-Fat Greek Yogurt: This adds moisture and richness to the dough, resulting in tender bagels.
Baking Process
Once you’ve gathered your ingredients, the process is straightforward:
Preparation: Preheat your oven and line a baking pan with parchment paper. This ensures your bagels bake evenly and don’t stick.
Mixing the Dough: Combine the dry ingredients in a bowl, then add the Greek yogurt. Mix until a dough forms, then divide and shape into balls. Don’t forget to poke a hole in the center of each ball — it’s what gives bagels their characteristic shape!
Baking: Bake until your kitchen fills with the irresistible aroma of freshly baked bagels. They’re done when they reach a deep golden brown hue and an internal temperature of 210°F.
Enjoying Your Bagels: Let your bagels cool on a rack before diving in. Whether you toast them and spread withyour favorite topping or enjoy them as-is, these gluten-free cinnamon raisin bagels are delicious.
Extra Tips
Donut Pan Option: If you have a donut pan, you can create perfectly shaped bagels with a slightly shorter baking time. Just a light spray of cooking oil ensures they release easily.
Storage: These bagels are best enjoyed fresh but can be stored in an airtight container for a couple of days. To refresh, toast lightly before serving.
Baking gluten-free doesn’t mean sacrificing flavor or texture. With the right ingredients and a little patience, you can create homemade bagels that rival any bakery. These Gluten-Free Cinnamon Raisin Bagels are proof of that — delicious, and satisfying,
