Dates Stuffed With Asiago And Wrapped With Bacon

These tasty hot appetizers can be made 24 hours ahead of time just pop them in the oven when you are ready.

Serves 4 people ( 3 dates each)





12-pitted Medjool dates
4 low sodium, low fat GF bacon slices, cut into thirds
12 x (1 x ½ inch) Asiago pieces
12 wooden picks


Preheat oven to 400 F and place oven rack in the middle
Stuff each date with 1 cheese slice (I use a chopstick to push it through) and wrap tightly with bacon, securing with a pick
Place dates about 1 inch apart on a baking pan lined with tin foil
Bake 15 minutes or until bacon is crisp, drain on a paper towel for 1 minute and serve
