Easy Gluten Free Garlic Pizza Bread Recipe

Garlic pizza bread is a tasty addition to soups and stews or pasta. This gluten-free garlic pizza bread is crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The flavour of garlic and Parmesan cheese make this garlic pizza bread outstanding. In this recipe, there is no added yeast, so no kneading needed.

Enjoy as is, or add fresh toppings such as avocado, sliced tomatoes or soft cheese. This pizza bread is brilliant when toasted!


  • 1 ½ cup GF all-purpose flour blend
  • ½ cup tapioca flour/starch
  • 1 Tbsp. ground flax seed
  • 1 Tbsp. sesame seeds (optional)
  • 2 tsp. baking powder (preferably aluminum-free)
  • ½ tsp. sea salt
  • ½ tsp. xanthan gum
  • ½ tsp. rosemary
  • 1 ¼ cup water
  • ¼ cup extra virgin olive oil plus 1 Tbsp. for brushing
  • 1 tsp. apple cider vinegar
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese for topping

  • Preheat oven to 450 F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  • In a large mixing bowl combine dry ingredients
  • In a small bowl mix water, olive oil and apple cider vinegar. Add to dry ingredients and using a spatula mix the ingredients together forming wet dough
  • Spread the dough on the prepared baking sheet to about ¾-inch thick rectangle
  • Mix 1 tablespoon of olive oil and minced garlic. Brush the top of the dough with oil and sprinkle with Parmesan cheese
  • Bake for 17 minutes then turn the oven heat to broil and cook for 2 more minutes or until the top is golden brown. Keep an eye on the broiling because the top can burn very quickly
