Easy Classic Hummus Recipe

When it comes to classic hummus, it should have a slight garlic and lemon flavour. This is an easy classic hummus recipe that anyone can make. Serve as a spread in a gluten free sandwich or as a dip with fresh veggies or gluten free corn chips

Ingredients

  • 2 x (13.5 oz.) cans chickpeas, drain and rinse
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 2 Tbsp. extra virgin olive oil, plus some for topping
  • 2/3 cup tahini paste
  • Sea salt to taste
  • Pinch of organic, GF cayenne pepper for topping

    Instructions

  • Add cooked chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, 2 tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil and tahini into a food processor and blend until creamy
  • Stir in salt to taste and transfer to a serving dish
  • Sprinkle with extra virgin olive oil and cayenne pepper
