Cherry Chia Jam – Easy Recipe

Ingredients
1 lb. fresh or frozen pitted cherries
1 cup water
1/4 cup pure maple syrup
1/2 tsp. GF ground cinnamon
Juice and zest of 1 small lemon
1/3 cup Chia seeds
Instructions
- In a large saucepan combine everything except chia seeds. Cook over medium-high heat for 10 minutes, stirring frequently
- Remove from the stove and cool. Taste for sweetness, if you like the jam sweeter add more maple syrup
- Add chia seeds and mix well. Set aside for 5 minutes. Mix one more time and transfer to a glass jar. Cover and refrigerate for 24 hours
- Note: this jam will keep up to 30 days when refrigerated
