This Gluten-Free Orange Loaf With Streusel Topping is light, super soft and moist. Treat yourself to the most delicious breakfast loaf with your morning coffee. After all, oranges and breakfast go hand in hand. This healthy-ish gluten-free recipe is made with plenty of fresh orange juice, olive oil, and maple syrup. The streusel adds that extra buttery and sweet finish, making each slice taste so much better. This lightly sweetened orange loaf is supremely moist and has a zesty orange zing.

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil
  • ½ cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup fresh orange juice + zest of 1 large orange
  • 1 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tsp. Pure vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups GF all-purpose flour blend that includes xanthan gum (cup4cup or better batter are best for this recipe)
  • 1/4 cup arrowroot starch/flour
  • 2 tsp. GF aluminum-free baking powder
  • 1 tsp. GF baking soda
  • ½ tsp. GF ground turmeric, optional (adds a golden colour naturally to the loaf)
  • 1/2 tsp. sea salt
  • 1/2 cup certified GF toasted oat flour or GF all-purpose flour blend (the oat flour gives it a tasty nutty flavour)
  • 1/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. butter, cold

  • Preheat oven to 350 F and line a 9 x 5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper
  • Whisk the eggs with an electric mixer until frothy. Add olive oil maple syrup, orange juice, orange zest, lemon juice and vanilla. Whisk until mixed well
  • In a separate bowl combine flour, arrowroot starch, baking powder, baking soda, turmeric and salt
  • Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and whisk until the batter is smooth. Pour batter into prepared pan
  • For the streusel topping; Using your hands combine the flour, coconut/brown sugar and butter to form small crumbs. Sprinkle on top of the loaf, pressing it in gently. Bake for 65 minutes
  • Cool loaf in the pan
