Gluten Free Cheese And Chives Scones

For breakfast, replace muffins for these delicious gluten free cheese and chives scones. Serve these savoury scones with ham and eggs for a hearty breakfast. The scones are also a nice addition to salads, stews or hearty soups. Enjoy!




1 cup GF all purpose flour
1 tsp. coconut sugar
1/2 tsp sea salt
1/4 tsp. organic GF freshly ground black pepper
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. GF aluminum free baking powder
1/2 tsp. organic GF dried rosemary
1/2 cup coconut milk or (soy, rice, almond), room temperature
1/4 cup coconut oil, room temperature
3/4 cup chopped organic green onions
2 cups grated cheddar cheese


Preheat oven to 375 F
Mix all dry ingredients together
Whisk together coconut milk and coconut oil
Add green onions and cheese to dry ingredients and stir until all ingredients are evenly coated
Add coconut milk mix into dry ingredients and stir until soft dough forms. Roll the dough between two sheets of parchment paper and cut into desired shapes. Bake for 25 minutes or until the scones start to golden
